Ayodele Dada graduated from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos in the 2015 class. He was also the University valedictorian and he acknowledges the leadership of the then Head of Department, Professor Agiogbu Kemmer for making him believe that this feat was possible. During his time in the department, he worked closely with faculty such as Dr Alex Igundunasse with whom he connected with almost immediately. Ayodele co-authored a paper with Dr Igundunasse which was published by the American Psychological Association (APA) in the International Psychology Bulletin of 2016. Ayodele applied to PhD programs around the world and was accepted at Stanford. He is now pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Stanford University, California where he works with Professors Greg Walton and Carol Dweck to create interventions to reduce gender disparities in education in the Global South. Ayodele is also a Knight-Hennessy Scholar which is one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world with an acceptance rate of approximately 1%.
