He currently holds the Chair in Sustainable Finance and Governance at the European University Institute (EUI), Florence, Italy, as well as the Chair in Sustainable Business and Public Policy at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Through extensive research and thought leadership, he has helped redefine how ethical business practices can drive socio-economic transformation.

Beyond academia, Professor Amaeshi actively engages with governments, corporations, and institutions across Africa and internationally, providing strategic advice on sustainable finance, policy reform, ethical governance, and transformative development initiatives. By accepting this prestigious Professorial Chair at the University of Lagos, Professor Amaeshi brings not only global academic excellence but also a profound personal dedication to ethical leadership, social justice, and the development of Africa’s human capital.
